((OOC: Been two weeks, lots of IRL stuff happening so foggy on the details.))
Duchain arrogantly pushed his minions to hold a cache of Wyrdstone, despite the obvious location and the likely combat to ensue instead of cutting his losses or setting up an ambush. The Norse was able to take advantage of this and rush the area with no time for those there to establish a foothold.
After losing Bob, a ghoul ate him and became the new Bob after the battle. While not having the same abilities, his new independence. (Promotion.)
Igor the Necromancer took a chest wound and almost bled out, but inspired the rest of the dregs to blindly follow their master's wishes. (-1 T, +1 LD)
The dregs that survived learned to specialize a bit better.
And as for Count Duchain? He killed so many animals he learned to be even faster. (+1 I).

Mordheim July 8th Battle Report
Ishtar the Lewd, leader of The Debauched Ones, had heard of a cash of wyrdstone in a tributary feeding the River Stir. She led her band forward and saw a warband of Norse engaging a Skaven warband by the tributary. After weighing the situation she decided to lead her outnumbered force into the fray. The two Possessed, ‘The Brute’ and ‘The Disfigured’ attacked. As that battle raged on Ishtar went to the waters edge to search for wyrdstone. She was soon joined by the Mutant Rhall. No wyrdstone was found, but after a while both opposing warbands routed leaving The Debauched Ones alone. ‘The Disfigured’ took out an opponent and ‘The Brute’ took out two more. One of these was the Skaven leader an Assassin adept. The Assassin adept was captured and ransomed to the Norse warband for 30 gold crowns. The warband searched the ruins of a shop and also a still-warm corpse that was found. Besides some gold crowns the corpse yielded an axe. Two pieces of the precious wyrdstone was also found. The wyrdstone and gold allowed Ishtar to add three Brethren to The Debauched Ones, one of which was armed with the found axe. Afterwards The Debauched Ones moved off into the ruins of Mordheim in their search for wyrdstone.

Re: 2024 CSW Mordheim Campaign Record: Battle Results, Writeups and Warband Status Only.
Standings after nights 2 and 3. This time I ranked them. For those tied for wins, I gave the higher position to the person who had played the most games. Obviously, identical tallies are tied regardless of order listed.
After Night 2 Standings
Tim:(Middenheimers) 2-0
Mattias: Lurkers of Leechhead (Posessed) 2-0
Karl: Sam Flat Akafligast (Norse Explorers) 1-1
James: Count Duchain (Undead) 1-1
Jon: (Church of Sigmar): 0-2
Charlie: (Skaven): 0-2
Michael: Debauched ones (Posesssed)0-1
After Night 3 standings
Tim: (Middenheimers) 3-0
Mattias: Lurkers of Leechhead (Posessed) 2-0
Karl: Sam Flat Akafligast (Norse Explorers) 1-2
James: Count Duchain (Undead): 1-2
Michael: Debauched ones (Posesssed): 1-1
Charlie: (Skaven): 0-3
Jon: (Church of Sigmar): 0-2
Looks like Tim and Mattias are in the lead and the only players with positive win-loss ratios. Unless we decide to continue afterwards, we've only got 3 nights left to mix it up. Hope to see you all soon!

Re: 2024 CSW Mordheim Campaign Record: Battle Results, Writeups and Warband Status Only.
On Monday, I beat Mattias and James beat Michael so ...
After Night 4, the standings are:
Tim: (Middenheimers) 3-0
James: Count Duchain (Undead): 2-2
Karl: Sam Flat Akafligast (Norse Explorers) 2-2
Mattias: Lurkers of Leechhead (Posessed) 2-1
Michael: Debauched ones (Posesssed): 1-2
Charlie: (Skaven): 0-3
Jon: (Church of Sigmar): 0-2
Read in sports caster voice....
Karl and James have moved into into a tie for second. Both have dug out of their losing record and are now even. Mattias sliped into third, but only based on a lesser number of games played. The rest of the field is pretty much the same. The pressure is on undefeated king-of-the-hill, Tim to win his next game as there are now 3 players in a position to seize the top spot!

Re: 2024 CSW Mordheim Campaign Record: Battle Results, Writeups and Warband Status Only.
Night 5.
Karl and Michael played 2 games and Karl won both.
James, Tim and Mattias played and Mattias won.
So, after Night 5, the standings are:
Sam Flat Akafligast (Norse Explorers) 4-2
Mattias_ Lurkers of Leechhead (Possessed) 3-1
Tim: (Middenheimers) 3-1
James: Count Duchain (Undead): 2-3
Michael: Debauched ones (Possessed): 1-4
Charlie: (Skaven): 0-3
Jon: (Church of Sigmar): 0-2
It's getting near the end of the campaign with one more day to go. Improbably, Karl has moved up to first. Tim and Mattias are now tied for second. James is only one game behind them with a game total that could allow him to jump up in the rankings depending on how game 6 goes.
Where there are ties for wins, I've been giving the higher standings placement to the player with the most total games. If it comes down to that in figuring the standings after game 6, I'll only credit myself with having played one game yesterday evening (currently 5 games total) since it's just by chance that Michael and I got to play 2 games while the other players played one.

Re: 2024 CSW Mordheim Campaign Record: Battle Results, Writeups and Warband Status Only.
Okay, got some long overdue updates on the warband roster for you here.
First was night 4, where the warlord Afligast handed the Lurkers their first defeat. Both warbands stumbled across a den of snoozing ogres during a competitive treasure hunt, and the results were bloody! Luckily, the only lasting injury on the Lurker's side was the possessed Z'beel'z'brz was blinded in his left eye. We managed to make enough loot in this game to hire a warlock and a pitfighter.
Then on night 5 was the three way battle with James's undead and Tim's Middenheimers. This was a chaotic fight in the port hunting for wyrdstone which saw the Lurkers of Leechhead both trying to push across the river to challenge the mercenaries while also trying to hold their own in a desperate struggle against a vampire amongst the ruins. Highlights from this battle included: The demon J'Gog'th'soz failing a leaping charge from the bridge and falling into the water, only to emerge enraged and cut down at least 3 of Tim's fighters; Tim's spear-wielding hero defending the bridge rolling a crit with his spear that drove my beastman back through the scrum, knocking everyone off the bridge and taking them all out of action; James' vampire killing the mutant Leonid Skree before dying to chaos cult.
In the end, the Lurkers of Leechhead were the last band standing and took the win.
We got enough loot to replace Leonid Skree with another scorpion-tailed mutant, Skrawnid Len. After all the advance rolls and whatnot, here is what the updated roster looks like:

Re: 2024 CSW Mordheim Campaign Record: Battle Results, Writeups and Warband Status Only.
Campaign Night 6.
Large Monster Hunt with Tim and Karl teaming up as the Barbarian Front Vs Mattias and Michael. Each group taking on Jon's Sisters of Sigmar in their fortress Cloister where they were tending to two Sacred creatures.
In the end it was a complete Draw with only one monster killed and no lairs were exclusively held by any side, though significant experience was gained several characters for wounding monsters.
Thus I add our first draw stats to the standings, but nothing changes in the rankings. After Night 6, the standings are:
Karl: Sam Flat Akafligast (Norse Explorers) 4-1-2
Mattias: Lurkers of Leechhead (Possessed) 3-1-1
Tim: (Middenheimers) 3-1-1
James: Count Duchain (Undead): 2-3
Michael: Debauched ones (Possessed): 1-1-4
Charlie: (Skaven): 0-3
Jon: (Church of Sigmar): 0-1-2
Please post your pictures and narratives here if you have them for this game as well as games 4 and 5.
At this point the consensus seems to be continue a bit longer with Mordheim campaign once a month. More discussion on that in the appropriate topic.

Re: 2024 CSW Mordheim Campaign Record: Battle Results, Writeups and Warband Status Only.
I actually managed to get some okay pics this time! It's a lot, obviously, so feel free to just use your favorites.
I've tried to put them in more or less chronological order here.
The Battlefield:
Deployment from my side of the table:
The warbands advance:
The Brave Defense and the Storming Forces:
Before/After the Beast Emerges:
Courtyard Mayhem:
The Beast is Downed:
The Norse Mount the Basilica:
The Second Beast:
Incidentally, I realized after getting home from the battle that my "Lure of Chaos" difficulty 9 mind-control spell does not specify that I can only control one character at a time--meaning I theoretically could have used it to take control of the second beast. I rolled it to see if it would have made a difference and...
So that could have meant a good deal of treasure for the chaos side, had I thought of it in the moment. Oh well...

Re: 2024 CSW Mordheim Campaign Record: Battle Results, Writeups and Warband Status Only.
Finally tackled the post-game sequence for my band! Got some new skills and stat increases, and came away with enough money to pay the upkeep for the hired swords Sir Maulric and Ditherprank as well as hire a new axe-wielding maniac, Brittleghast the Cutpate!
I also found that I had been incorrectly calculating my warband rating, so heads up: If you use Hired Swords and/or
Dramatis Personae, they add extra to your warband rating! Check their entries to see how much.
Here's the updated roster for the Lurkers of Leechhead:
