As far as relevant terrain, I have a couple of fantasy towns that take more from the early iron age than the late medieval - stone houses and bridges and stucco terraced houses. I also have some smaller pieces like earthworks, hedges, and palisades. I have the club castle walls too.

Re: Mordheim summer campaign discussion.
Here's my Skaven warband:
Heroes:
Assassin Adept (Sword, Light Armor) - 90g
Eshin Sorceror (Dagger) - 45g
Night Runner (Dagger, Throwing stars, Light armor) - 55g
Black Skaven (Halberd, Light armor) - 70g
Henchmen:
Verminkin x3 (Spear, Light armor, Shield) - 165g
Verminkin x3 (Dagger, Sling) - 66g
Total: 10 models, 491g cost (I don't have the warband value)
This is very much a "throw a little of everything into the warband, and see what happens" kind of list. I even have six out of ten painted enough to put on the table. The other four ... well, fortunately, I have a couple weeks to go...
I have some ruined buildings for terrain. Not as many as I thought -- I left them in the car, and FDM-printed stuff does not do well in a hot car. A couple of 'em are a little too warped to put on the table; I might try a heat gun and see if I can reshape them.

Loo looking forward to seeing those to ruins Charlie.
Tim, sounds like some good stuff. I think the walls and stone houses and bridges especially.

Re: Mordheim summer campaign discussion.
Nice to see everyone's warbands coming together. Tim with my limited experience with the ruleset, your warband looks good.
My warband is built, based, and paint in progress with one model about 90% tabletop ready and the rest on getting closer day by day. Should be there by campaign day:
Sisters of Sigmar Warband - 497pts - Rating 81 - 9 models
1. Matriarch - 115pts - 20xp - Steel Whip, Light Armor, Helmet, Shield
2. Auger - 27pts - 2 Daggers
3. Sister Superior - 85pts - 8xp - 2x Sigmarite Warhammer, Light Armor
4. Sister Superior - 70pts - 8xp - Flail, Light Armor, Holy Water
5. Sister - 45pts - Sigmarite Warhammer, Buckler
6. Sister - 40pts - Flail
7. Sister - 50pts - Steel Whip, Buckler, Helmet
8. Novice - 30pts - Sigmarite Warhammer
9. Novice - 35pts - Sigmarite Warhammer
Not sure if I should include the complementary daggers. Guess I should check the rules re the likelihood of losing a weapon.
Cheers, JR

No reason not to, they're free. Unless you mean including them on the model for WYSIWYG, in which case I don't think you need to bother. Advice I've read online seems to indicate that character loadouts change pretty frequently in campaigns, so keeping strict WYSIWYG isn't all that practical anyhow.
I couldn't afford most of the weapons modelled on my guys in my starting list, so they all have temporary maces until I can afford to buy them the swords they are modelled with .
I finished the freehand shields on my last two lads last night, which completes my warband! I'll take some more pics of the group once they're cured, but I was so pleased with the freehand oils I wanted to show them off here

Re: Mordheim summer campaign discussion.
Really nice work on the freehand on those, and the models as a whole. Look forward to seeing your warband on the table!
I'll add the daggers. I'm about 60% there on painting and really enjoying painting these. Excited for painting incentive and for the upcoming campaign.

Re: Mordheim summer campaign discussion.
Here's what I've come up with.
++ Warband (Norse Explorers (1b) (1c)) [500pts, 113Warband Rating] ++
+ Heroes +
Berserkers [65pts, 16Warband Rating]: 11x Experience, Shield, Sword
Berserkers [65pts, 16Warband Rating]: Double Handed Weapon, 11x Experience
Bondsmen [30pts, 5Warband Rating]: Shield, Sword
Jarl [95pts, 25Warband Rating]: 20x Experience, Helmet, Shield, Sword
Wulfen [90pts, 16Warband Rating]: 11x Experience
+ Henchmen +
Marauders [40pts, 5Warband Rating]: Shield, Spear, Unit Group
Marauders [40pts, 5Warband Rating]: Shield, Spear, Unit Group
Wolves [15pts, 5Warband Rating]: Unit Group
Wolves [15pts, 5Warband Rating]: Unit Group
Wolves [15pts, 5Warband Rating]: Unit Group
Wolves [15pts, 5Warband Rating]: Unit Group
Wolves [15pts, 5Warband Rating]: Unit Group
++ Total: [113Warband Rating, 500pts] ++
Created with BattleScribe
I used the free version of BattleScribe and it seems pretty easy and good for creating and tracking a warband.
I managed to make it completely WYSIWYG which was a pleasant surprise.

Re: Mordheim summer campaign discussion.
Also, Charlie and I were able to participate in a brief Mordhiem demo at TMX.
I think they may have been slightly off on a couple rules, but it was a good chance to play through and see how things go.
A couple of issues I was doubtful about I think we might want to clarify ahead of time.
-They played that characters with a 6 initiative automatically passed checks relating to Jumping, climbing, etc.
-They played that a down character is automatically hit by a ranged attack. I think that only applies to melee.
Lastly, one very good suggestion they gave us was to use the alternate critical hit table in the back of the Mordheim rulebook. It's not complicated, just different based on attack types and very flavorful. What do you all think of that?

Re: 2024 CSW Mordheim summer campaign discussion.
OK, I'm trying to nail down my starting warband. I've picked a list, and spent gold for equipment, but I'm not sure how to handle experience. Some of my heroes start with experience -- does that mean I get to start with the appropriate number of advancement rolls?
For instance, my leader, the Assassin Adept starts with 20 experience. Does that mean I get to roll eight advances for him?
I've also been looking at Battlescribe, which looks pretty good, except that it's missing two things that are pretty crucial to Mordheim:
Am I just missing these? I'm using the PC version, not a mobile app, so maybe it's in the app and not the desktopv ersion.

I've also been looking at Battlescribe, which looks pretty good, except that it's missing two things that are pretty crucial to Mordheim:
- The chart for when to roll new advances as you get more experience (a little annoying, but we can find that anywhere)
- Henchmen have to be entered individually for the points calculations to work out correctly, but Mordheim really considers them one unit
